Every few days I’m posting about a podcast
that I listen to and that I’d recommend you trying out.
Pat Metheny is a highly inclusive
musician. One of the ways this is manifested is through this series of podcasts
in which he, and sometimes his band-mates, talk you through an album. Sometimes
he explains the tracks and album concepts in summary, and occasionally in real
time. What always comes across is his good natured, positive attitude, hard
work ethic and humour. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of everything he’s
done, but the last few releases have been stellar, and it’s good to have these
podcasts as an accompaniment.
