Pedal time

Over the last year or so I've spotted the same guitar pedal turning up on the pedal boards of some musicians that I enjoy the work of. What made this particular pedal interesting was that no two people were using in the same way.

The pedal is made by Red Panda and is called the Particle. In short what it does is chop up your sound, jiggle up the bits and give you some control over the process and outcome. But that's like saying a paintbrush allows you put paint on a canvas, without describing where that can take you.

I worried that I might end up with a 'particle' sound that could become a cliche. But there is so much variation in this little box I could play for hours without repeating myself. Find out more at redpandalab.com.
